Nhóm Mô phỏng Công nghệ Hoá học và Dầu khí Trường Đại học Bách khoa Hà Nội Dynamic Modeling using UniSim Design Unit 9 Event Scheduler Objective  Use the Event Scheduler Manager  Creat Event Schedules  Creat Sequences  Creat Event Conditions 2 Workshop  The Event Scheduler Manager contains all the Event Schedules in the current Unisim Design Case.  Each Schedule is comprised of Sequences, which in turn are made up of events.  An Event must have a Condition, which determined when the Event has been triggered. At least one condition must be fully defined for each event.  Once an event has been triggered, a series of pre- defined Actions will be excuted.  A variety of action can be performed including closing valve and switching controller mode, changing variable value and switching to other sequences 3 Structure 4 Open Event Scheduler  Simulation menu  Using hot key Ctrl E 5 Button in the Schedule Options  Add: to add a new schedules to the case  Copy: to make a copy of the selected schedule  Delete: to delete the selected schedule  Import: to import a saved schedule from disk  Export: to export the selected schedule to disk  Sort: to arrange the schedules 6 Event Scheduler 1. Open case 08.TCDyn.usc 2. Open the Event Scheduler 3. Press Add Button Rename the new schedule to High Liquid Lever in HPSep 7 Event Scheduler 8 Event Scheduler The event scheduler view has 3 checkboxes: Smart Tree: Show the current Event of the last selected sequence of schedule  Trace Messages: Enable the tracing of event scheduler messages  Multi Events: to execute multiple continuous events, with condition of true, in a single time step 9 Event Scheduler 10 Event Scheduler 4. On the Schedule view, click the Add button to creat a new sequence 5. Rename the Sequence to High Liquid Level 11 Event Scheduler 12 5 4 Event Scheduler  The Sequence field contains the name of sequence. The Run Mode field displays the sequence mode; one shot or continuous.  A One Shot sequence executes all ít Events in order then its status changes to Complete  A continuous sequence return to the first event after the last event has been executed, in a continuous loop.  The Event, Waiting for and Pending Actions fields display the current event number with its corresponding condition name and action list name. 13 Event Scheduler 6. Select the Sequence High Liquid Level from the Event Scheduler tree view. 7. On the High Liquid Level sequence view, click the Add button to creat a new Event. Change the name from Event 1 to ESD Trip 8. Press the View button or select the Event from the Event Scheduler Tree. 14 Event Scheduler 9. In the Wait For Box, select The Logic to Evaluate True radio button 10. In the Condition Name field, rename the condition to Level > % 11. Press the Add Variable button and add the PV for the High Pressure Separator Level controller (LC- HP Sep) 15 Event Scheduler 16 Event Scheduler 12. In the Logical Expression box type in the expression: Var1 > 90% This expression will evaluate as True if the level controller PV is above 90% 17 Event Scheduler 18 11 7 9 Parameter Setting ESD Trip State Unchecked Trip Mode Trip Open Invert ESD State Checked Event Scheduler 13. On the Action List tab select the Add button. Rename Action 1 as VLV- 100 ESD Trip 19 Event Scheduler 14. Configure the VLV- 100 ESD Trip action with type Specify Variable and set the value so that when the event runs the value trips open 20 Event Scheduler 21 14 13 Event Scheduler 15. An addition Event with two actions should be added to the High Liquid Level Sequence 22 Variable Value Purpose 10 mins after VLV- 100 opens, the ESD Trip value is reset to 0 and the mode of LC is set to auto with a SP equal to 50% Condition Name Post ESD Trip Condition Elapsed Time = 10 mins Action List Name Reset Normal Condition Event Scheduler 23 Variable Value Action 1 Name VLV- 100 Normal Type Specify Variable Target VLV- 100 – ESD Trip Value 0 Action 2 Name Reset LC to auto with SP= 50% Type Set Controller Mode Target LC- HP Sep New Mode Auto New SP 50% Event Scheduler 24 Event Scheduler 16. Sort the events such that Post ESD Trip occurs after the ESD Trip event. 17. Return to the Schedule View and change the Run Mode from One Shot to Continuous 18. Press the Start Button 25 Event Scheduler 26 16 Event Scheduler 19. Save the case as 09.ES.usc and start the intergrator 20. Arrange for level in the HP separator to rise to 90%.  Note if controller LC- Hp Sep overshoots during event Post ESD Trip and the PV rises above 90%, it will trigger the ESD Trip events again  If this happens, re-tune controller LC- HP Sep (increase Kc) to avoid this  Save case 27 Event Scheduler 28 Challenge  Set up a new event within the High liquid Level Sequence, which performs the actions of step 20 (i.e. causes the liquid level to rise to 90%) after an alapsed time equal to 15 mins.  This new Event will cause the sequence to cycle continuously. 29
